Hello! My name is Allison Engelhard, and I teach Literature and Critical Reading here at MPOLY. I am from Seattle, Washington. It was there that I studied and received my BA in English language and literature from the University of Washington. I have always been interested in teaching children and volunteered at several schools in the Seattle area. I found that I was most drawn to working with bilingual children, which made me develop an interest in teaching English. I first came to Korea in 2012 and worked in a public elementary school for 2 years. I have really enjoyed working with the students here in Korea, their bright personalities have made my job entertaining and gratifying. I hope that in my time here at MPOLY I can become close with all my students and make great memories.

I have lived there since my family immigrated to America when I was six until I finished my schooling. I graduated from Pace University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems and minored in Chemistry. After my graduation, I started teaching in Korea. Now, it’s been more than 10 years since I have taught. While teaching at different academies and public schools, I have realized my passion for teaching children. I hope to continue working for kids for a long time in the future.

Hello, nice to meet all of you. My name is Jane Choi and I am very excited to be teaching the gifted students, and working as one of the teachers here at MPOLY. I majored in English Childhood Education and achieved CNU-Arizona TESOL. Since I graduated, I have been trying my best to be a good language teacher. I learned various teaching philosophies and methodologies and have tried to affectively use them in my classroom. Some of my hobbies include watching movies, reading, and learning new things which brings me a lot of different experience. As for my job, I have a genuine passion about wanting to help students grow and learn English. I think the students here at MPOLY have so much potential and I want to do my best to help them tap into that potential, achieve, and progress to become eventual Global leaders.

Hello, my name is Grace. First of all, it's an honor to teach students in MPOLY. I graduated with a master's degree in English education. In addition, I achieved TESOL certificate while I was in university. These courses have been a great help in teaching students for almost 7 years. I have been teaching many students from elementary school to high school through various methods. In particular, I am interested in using self-directed learning, extensive reading, and practical grammar. I hope that English will become great way to turn students’ stumbling blocks into stepping stones for their dreams. I also want I can be one of helpful stepping stones for my students.
